Conference Migration of students from Ukraine to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary: perspectives of human capital.

On 5 June 2018, Boris Divinský, a thematic expert of the DRIM project (Danube Region Information Platform for Economic Integration of Migrants, Interreg Danube Transnational Program project Nr. DTP1-1-183-4.1) for the Slovak partner of the project - the Institute of Ethnology at Slovak Academy of Sciences - participated at the international conference called Migration of students from Ukraine to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary: perspectives of human capital. This event was organised by the Research Centre of Slovak Foreign Policy Association. Among others, the conference stressed an urgent need of foreign students studying in Slovakia for better informing, especially in the fields of residence permits, education, labour opportunities and housing in the country. In this context, the DRIM thematic expert discussed the ongoing DRIM project aimed at this very goal with selected relevant representatives of the public sphere and think-tanks presented. At the same time, Boris Divinský distributed newly published promotional materials - flyers and posters issued in Slovak - informing on the DRIM project, its objectives, activities and outputs. Possible cooperation in the area between the Institute of Ethnology as DRIM partner and the Research Centre of Slovak Foreign Policy Association will be further discussed at a preliminarily agreed meeting to be held in future weeks.
